Birding is a wonderful hobby, and with over 200 species observed in the park, Mason Neck is a prime location for bird watching. By learning some of the characteristics birders use to identify birds, you will be better able to identify them. We will review a few key points and guides that help even the most seasoned birder recognize and appreciate the variety of birds in the park and your backyard. Meet Rangers at the Visitor Center for a brief intro, then a walk around the area in search of birds.
