Smith Mountain Lake State Park master plan to be presented Sept. 30
RICHMOND — A public meeting to discuss long-range planning for Smith Mountain Lake State Park will be Sept. 30, 6 p.m., at the park’s visitor center, 1235 State Park Road, Huddleston.

The draft master plan for Smith Mountain Lake State Park proposes a 60-site campground, 10 cabins, a paved off-road multipurpose trail, a new picnic area and the reconfiguration of the park entrance.
The 1,248-acre park is situated on Smith Mountain Lake in Bedford and Franklin counties.
Comments about this master plan will be accepted through Oct. 30. Written comments should be submitted to bill.conkle@dcr.virginia.gov.
