Law Enforcement Rangers with the Department of Conservation and Recreation receive initial and ongoing training in mental health assistance and suicide awareness to include Mental Health First Aid and crisis intervention. Responding to numerous related calls annually, the Office of Public Safety and Law works across the agency and with partners, such as the community service boards, to increase assistance when necessary and further awareness of the National 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
