What better way to kick off the New Year than a guided nature hike observing local wildlife! Join Friends of Kiptopeke State Park for a First Day Hike. Bring binoculars or your camera, you never know what you may see.

The hike will start at 10:00 am and leave from Picnic Shelter #1 located in the Day Use area. The hike will be one mile on flat, even ground.

After the hike, stay to enjoy some hot chocolate and learn how you can help the park by joining the Friends of Kiptopeke State Park.

每年 1 月1日，弗吉尼亚州立公园都会举办“首日徒步”活动。这项全国性活动邀请人们在州立公园亲近大自然、留下永恒的回忆，迎接新年的到来。全州范围内均提供由护林员带领和自助的首日徒步旅行，为各个年龄段和技能水平的游客提供户外探索的机会。一月1是所有弗吉尼亚州立公园的免费停车日。（天然桥的门票仍然适用）。
