Forgo the fireworks and crowded festivities and accompany a ranger on this guided hike through the quiet woods with the moon and stars lighting the way. Be the last one hiking in the old year and the first one hiking in the new. This moderate to advanced 2.3-mile hike traverses a portion of Lakeview Bike Trail, not commonly open to hikers. Trail may be lit by the moon, but please bring a flashlight or headlamp.

This event will run from 11 p.m. New Year's Eve until 1 a.m. on New Year's Day. Please register by emailing Rebecca.Whalen@dcr.virginia.gov. Not suitable for kids 10 and under. Pets are not permitted.
