Come out for an enchanting hike into the Highlands as day blends into the evening hours. Experience your senses heighten as shadows grow, colors fade, and peculiar sounds encompass the landscape. During this adventure we hope to experience a high-country sunset, the nocturnal soundtrack and tactile escape. Guests will learn about sound ecology and will use their senses as they adapt to the changing conditions throughout the hike, creating a lasting impression. This ranger-led hike will be moderate as it climbs up to Wilburn Ridge from Massie Gap. Bring warm clothes, good hiking footwear, water and a flashlight with a red filter, if available. The hike will start at the Massie Gap parking area.
