Show your love for Lake Anna by volunteering with us for Clean the Bay Day!  Stop by our information booth between 10:00AM and 1:00PM to pick up trash bags, trash grabbers, and gloves, and to learn how you can do your part to keep our local watersheds clean. Please return to the booth before leaving so your trash can be weighed and recorded.   Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear sturdy walking shoes that can get wet. Sunscreen, bug spray, and drinking water are highly recommended.   Pre-registration is not required. Open to volunteers of all ages.

Come explore nature's amazing spring happenings through the Powhatan Library's new educational series: Nature Days!

"Beavers:  Nature's Engineers" examines the characteristics and habits of North America's largest rodent.  Learn about how beavers alter the environment more than any other creature except humans.  Find out how beavers contributed to the westward expansion as settlers arrived in the New World.  Various items, including a beaver skull, pelt, and examples of wood cuttings, will be displayed.  A special gift will be given to all children who attend the program.
