Community engagement is a key component of state park master planning. The Sweet Run State Park master planning process will include two rounds of public engagement. The first round began in March 2025 with two Public Information Meetings (one in-person and one virtual) to share initial progress. During the first round of engagement, the public had the opportunity to provide input via an online survey. A subsequent round of public engagement to share and receive feedback on the Draft Master Plan will occur in June 2026. A Public Comment Meeting will be held in person in June 2026 to present and receive feedback on the Draft Master Plan for Sweet Run State Park.
June 2, 2026 | 6:30-8:30 p.m. Between the Hills Community Center (11762 harpers Ferry Rd, Purcellville, VA 20132)
This meeting will be followed by a 30-day public comment period. The meeting presentation will be available on this page after the meeting.
