Pocahontas Premieres is a music series with something for everyone. From symphony to classic rock and current country, the series brings big-arena experiences to Virginia’s most visited state park. All shows are held under the starts at the Heritage Amphitheater.
This year sees the return of some past favorites, as well as some new bands playing for their first time at our venue. From May through October, there will be a variety of genres and great sounds to enjoy all season long. Come out and enjoy the symphony, country, bluegrass, classic rock and the beachy sounds of Jimmy Buffett and the Beach Boys. We look forward to seeing you at all our great shows this year.

Your local American Idol is back to open our 2026 season in her own backyard again!
Carrie Brockwell is a Richmond, Virginia–born country singer, songwriter, and musician who brings clear vocals and storyteller chops to modern country. Carrie is an American Idol alum, and was awarded the 2025 Josie Music Award for Country Female Vocalist of the year, she’s played everything from intimate showcases to 18,000-strong audiences. Her style blends equal parts heart, grit, and soul. Carrie is currently promoting her brand-new album THAT’S REAL, soon to be streaming on all platforms. Opening for Carrie is The Redneck Pool Party Band. They are a Richmond based group covering songs in the country, classic rock, rhythm and blues and Motown genre’s. The band played throughout Virginia and North Carolina from 2008 to 2020 covering hits from such artists as Miranda Lambert, The Doobie Brothers, Aerosmith and Susan Tedeschi. RNPP’s shows appeal to a broad spectrum of music lovers and they are getting back together in 2026 to play a few “reunion shows”. They will be kicking off this brief series of performances here at the Pocahontas State Park Amphitheater opening for Nashville singer songwriter Carrie Brockwell on May 9th. More info HERE.

Join us for Pocahontas State Park's 80th birthday by taking in the sounds of the Richmond Symphony at the Heritage Amphitheater while surrounded by the beauty of Pocahontas State Park. Founded in 1957, the Richmond Symphony is the largest performing arts organization in Central Virginia. The orchestra includes more than 70 professional musicians and each season, more than 200,000 members of the community enjoy concerts, radio broadcasts, and educational outreach programs. Pocahontas Premieres, once again, is having its Mini Bluegrass Festival. This 2026 concert brings back some performers from the past as well as some new groups performing for the first time at Pocahontas State Park. Our Heritage Amphitheater will be the stage this year for the following groups:
Josh Grigsby and County Line is a bluegrass band based out of the beautiful Northern Neck of Virginia. The band started in 2014 by lead singer and rhythm guitarist Josh and his wife Crystal. Josh Grigsby and County Line was awarded the 2015 Bluegrass Band of Virginia Championship by the Virginia Folk Music Association. In addition to winning the Band Championship, Josh Grigsby was voted first place Male Vocals. More band info HERE.
Tara Mills Band, based out of Charlottesville, is inspired by the Blue Ridge Mountains and the rich musical traditions tied to them. Tara Mills describes her music as, "original mountain americana;" an original blend of folk, bluegrass, and americana. Tara combines her lyrics and voice with southern Virginia native Gabe Robey to create a very powerful yet driving original sound described as a mix of modern-day folk, bluegrass, and americana. Garden Variety String Band is an award-winning bluegrass band based in Richmond, VA. The five-piece band consist of Wyatt Peake (Vocals/Fiddle), Charlie Rosser (Vocals/Guitar), DJ Roller (Vocals/Mandolin), Stephen Weinstock (Bass), and Ben Everhart (Banjo). Inspired by old time, folk, and bluegrass music, GSVB performances are a nod to the past with a modern twist. More band info HERE.
David Wade and Black Mountain is a traditional bluegrass quartet from Central Virginia. Rooted in driving rhythms and vocal harmonies, they blend heartfelt originals with high-energy renditions of bluegrass standards. Featuring guitar, banjo, mandolin, and bass, their foot-stomping sound brings the timeless spirit of Virginia bluegrass to the stage. More band info HERE.

ZOSO The Ultimate Led Zeppelin Experience returns once again to rock the Heritage Amphitheater. Celebrating 31 years of touring in 2026, Zoso has become one of the most iconic and respected Led Zeppelin tribute experiences in the world, having played over 4,900 shows in all 50 states and internationally. Known for their unparalleled dedication to faithfully recreating the legendary band’s live performances, Zoso has earned accolades from both critics and fans alike.
Zoso’s live performances focus on the raw energy and intricate musicality of Led Zeppelin’s best-known hits and deeper tracks, with a particular emphasis on recreating their live show experience. 路线:公园位于切斯特菲尔德县。从 I- 95出发,从61出口驶出,沿10路线向西行驶至655路线,即海滩路;或从67出口驶出,沿150路线向北行驶至10路线;然后向东行驶至海滩路。公园在右侧四英里处;或者从 I- 95走288公路到10公路东,再走一英里就到了海滩路。从那里沿着公园标志走。谷歌地图
